Test results

Accessing your test results

If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.

Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:

  • In your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) Please note as a standard, results are available from October 2023 onwards. If you are wanting to view results before this date, please contact the practice to make this request.
  • Phone us on 0161 881 4545 after 10am. Please be advised our reception team cannot interpret or advise you on your test results and may direct you to complete an online form should you have questions regarding your results.

Questions about your results

If you are unable to use either of these facilities, please call reception after 12pm any weekday.

The doctor or nurse will have put a comment next to your results indicating their interpretation of them, and whether any further action is required. That many entirely normal results will contain slightly abnormal figures or figures slightly out of range.

The doctor or nurse will have taken these into consideration when marking your result. If you still have queries about your test results, we would ask you to book a routine appointment with the doctor or nurse who ordered the tests.

Do not contact us about any results from tests taken at hospital or external clinics. It is the responsibility of the doctor or nurse who ordered the test to discuss the results with you.
