GP practices in the UK experienced a widespread internet outage this morning, July 15, 2025.
A major IT issue affected many GP practices this morning, disrupting their systems, including phone lines and online services. Chorlton Family Practice were also affected by a widespread internet outage impacting all GP practices across the region. This caused disruption to our systems, including phone lines and online services.
We have long-standing measures in place for such disruptions, including reverting to paper patient records and handwritten prescriptions, and advising patients to use 111 online or call 111 if their issue isn’t urgent. 999 and emergency services were not affected.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused, we expect our services to run as normal for the rest of the day.
