Important Update: Managing Your Repeat Prescriptions from 26th May 2025

Beginning week of 26th May 2025, we’re implementing a change in how repeat prescriptions are processed due to new guidance from the NHS.

You will need to order repeat prescriptions directly from the GP practice, not your pharmacy (unless you are vulnerable or housebound).

Why the change? To reduce medicine waste, improve patient control, enhance safety, and free up GP time.

How to order: NHS App – recommended, Repeat prescription box at the practice, Post to the practice

Exceptions: Vulnerable, housebound patients, or those unable to order themselves will continue to receive support.

Assisted Patients: The GP practice will work with pharmacies to ensure these patients receive appropriate care

We recommend you download the NHS app to manage your repeat prescriptions quickly and efficiently, if you require support to do this please call in to the surgery where one of our staff will try to help you.
